Rhianna Gribbin is an American artist, raised in a small south Georgia town. She got her BFA in drawing/painting at the University of Georgia.
My art is fantastical in nature, with everything coming from my own mind. I am indirectly influenced by the fairy tales and mythology I was obsessed with reading while growing up and even still am obsessed with today. These stories that I have read and have heard all come together in my psyche and affect how I imagine things. As an artist, I find myself living in two worlds; the real one where reality rules and the one in my mind where reality does not get much of a say. I feel compelled to create these physical glimpses into my world by making my drawings and paintings. These crossovers in between the two worlds bring a sense of singularity to this duality. I use my art as a way of coping with the differences I find between the worlds that are nothing but different.
